Stir fried spaghetti recipe is a simple quick dinner fix or lunch fix. Toss in the veggies with whole wheat spaghetti.
I usually buy the ready-made pasta sauce for my kid and always it is tomato based pasta at home. Then once I thought of trying pasta the same way I make my fried rice. I love the vegetable hakka noodles in the restaurants, This one some how satisfies my craving for that veg noodles. I keep craving for desi noodles, atleast this is the closest I could recreate.
Using whole wheat spaghetti is quite filling, keeps you full for long time and I just love the chew it gives to satisfy the carb cravings.

Servings 2
Cup measurements
Ingredients
- Spaghetti- 100 gm I used whole wheat
- Cabbage- ½ cup julienne
- carrot - ½ julienne
- capsicum - ½ medium sized
- Spring onion - 2 sprigs
- Ground black pepper - ½ tsp
- Soy sauce - 1 tsp
- Olive oil - 2 tbsp
- Salt & water - As needed
Instructions
Boil enough water in a boiling pot. Add salt generously. Slide the spaghetti to the pot.
Cook the spaghetti as per the instructions given in the pack. I prefer soaking the pasta before cooking,to make it get cooked very soon. Drain water and wash it in cold water to prevent sticking together)
Chop the spring onion white part and green part separately. Heat a broad pan with olive oil, first add the white part of the spring onion, fry for 30 secs.
Then add the carrot, cabbage and capsicum one after other, frying each for a minute in high flame. Toss if you can to get the smoky flavour.
I usually add carrot first and other veggies in next step.
Lastly add the pepper and sauce, salt as required for veggies and then the green part of the spring onion.
Add the cooked pasta and stir/toss well so that the veggies get mixed with the pasta evenly.
Notes
- Use your choice of pasta, you can replace black pepper with white pepper.
- omit onion soya sauce and add finely chopped garlic in the beginning. You can try adding Italian seasonings too..

Recently i got a bit over enthu about a new brand noodles and found that I disliked it...being a maggie fan. I guess I shall use this recipe and pass that noodles off, what say...No I don't intend to spoil this lovely dish! Actually that will be a bad duplicate to this wonder dish.
